Meet Angie
Angie is a Registered Nurse with over 23 years of experience. During her career, she has been involved, in some way or another, with helping families achieve their infant feeding goals. In 2011, Angie passed the International Board of Certified Lactation Examiners exam and has since been increasing her knowledge and skills to better help expectant and new parents in their breastfeeding journey.
Born and raised in Northern Ontario and having worked in various aspects of healthcare, ranging from hospital to community to public health, Angie understands the healthcare and cultural needs of our community, and is proud to be able to provide services in both English and French. When she is not working or volunteering, Angie enjoys spending time with her husband, three children and their puppy, Stella, surrounded by family and friends.
In 2013, Angie was awarded the Sylvia Segal Award of Excellence for outstanding contributions in the protection, promotion and support of breastfeeding in her community. She has been mentored by Dr. Jack Newman, founder of the International Breastfeeding Center. Angie is an active director of the Breastfeeding Committee for Canada and is a member of the Baby-Friendly Initiative Ontario.
